Brett first picked up a guitar and started taking lessons within the SDML Academy of Guitar when he was 15.
Since then he has played live at venues including the Warren Township Teen Center, St. Paul the Apostle Church, and the Lake County Fair playing styles ranging from blues, rock, and funk to worship and pop.
In August, 2016 he became a certified SDML instructor and began teaching less than a month later. He has taught students of ages ranging from 5-50 and genres of music including rock, metal, pop, country, funk, blues, hip-hop and folk.
He strives to inspire his students to want to learn and play the guitar and help them to improve as efficiently as possible without making it feel like a chore.
